Occupation Health and Safety

b) adaptation and incorporation of European Union legislation into Polish regulation. You can learn about basic rules concerning OH&S in Poland, the different aspects of the subject: regulation depending on type of activities, scope of activities. Basic information is provided on OH&S service in organizations delivered along with rights and responsibilities of employers and employees. It is pretty detailed described in Poland in Labor Code first of all, and secondly it is regulated by special dispositions by Polish government.

c) the major practical aspects of usage H&S in organizations:

- training - information about types of training existing in Poland with split per induction (debriefing), on job training, and periodical training, with the split per employees groups to whom it is addressed, and the length of it. Participants were informed also about target of H&S training in a given organization,

- general information on safety rules based on example of company with electronic production background: source of risk, internal and external communication and transportation, storage of components and goods, chemical agents and behavior towards it on every day routines, all types of equipment used in the company, suspended tools, splinters, burns - high temperature

- accidents, and the follow up taking into consideration all legal aspect.

- first aid (training for employees, and practical examples)

- the risk assessment process: starting from defi nitions of risk and hazard through legislation, procedure, level of estimators and data for Polish norm to some examples.

- last part covered evacuation for large employers with aspects of fire: signs,

equipment, responsibilities and way of working
